Abe Stage highlights local, alternative musicians

The Saturday in the Park Abe Stage, which is set up along 24th Street near the Grandview Park entrance, honors Abraham Lincoln, whose likeness stands watch over the park near where the stage is set up.

This stage has traditionally been a home for local and underground alternative music acts, and has featured some big acts through the years. Bands such as Arrested Development, Brother Ali, Sit Mix A Lot, Atmosphere, Fishbone and Helmet have played the Second Stage.

The lineup will be announced later this spring.
