What you need to know about coolers, shuttles, pets and more

Even though Saturday in the Park is a free event, there are still a few rules that all festival-goers need to follow.

When is the Saturday in the Park Festival?
It will be held Saturday July 1, 2017. The festival will begin at noon and end at approximately 10:30pm.

What time will my favorite artist be playing?

The 2017 line-up will be announced soon!

Can I bring a cooler full of goodies?
No.  Sorry, no coolers, food, or beverages allowed.

Is there food available at the event?
Yes, numerous food vendors offer everything from pizza to gyros, fresh-squeezed lemonade to burgers. There are plenty of great food options.

Can I bring a blanket, lawn chairs or an umbrella?
Bring a lawn chair and blankets to relax. Umbrellas are allowed, but should not prohibit others around you from seeing the stage.

Is beer available at the event?
Alcohol is limited to two areas within the park – both on the south end of the park atop the hill overlooking the stage.

About how many people attend the event?
That varies from year to year, but for the most part, we estimate that about 25,000 people take part during the event each year.

Can I bring my cat, my dog or my horse?
No. Sorry, no pets allowed.

How much does it cost to attend the Saturday in the Park Festival?
It’s free. Yes, really FREE. And no, you do not need a ticket. Just show up.

Where is the best place to park?
We recommend parking at the Tyson Events Center, 401 Gordon Dr. and using the Park & Ride Shuttle. Cost each way is $1.80 for adults, $1.55 for youths, 90 cents for seniors, Medicare cardholders and the disabled, and free for kids under 5 with an adult.
