Kongos’ biggest obstacle is itself, explores human flaws in ‘Egomaniac

The alternative South African rock band Kongos released its second studio album “Lunatic” in 2012, but it would take two more years and significant airplay of the single “Come with Me Now” to attract a large enough audience in the United States. The song appeared in numerous commercials, TV shows and movie trailers, giving the band even more momentum.

After numerous tours, Kongos was finally able to record a follow-up album this year. Band members and brothers Dylan, Daniel, Jesse and Johnny Kongos have dubbed the CD “Egomaniac.” It was released June 10.
