2018 SITP lineup Announced

The Saturday in the Park Festival is pleased to announce the primary lineup for the 2018 festival. Headlining the main stage will be four time Grammy winner Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit and rock and jazz legend Boz Scaggs, event co-founder Dave Bernstein has announced.

The highly popular Abe Stage will be anchored by the Atlanta based alternative hip hop group Arrested Development. “Arrested development has an amazing live show that fits the festival vibe very well. Along with the rest of our talented line-up, this has potential to be the best show we have brought to our stage yet,” said Jason Reinert, co-producer of The Abe Stage.

“We are very pleased that once again this year we can showcase a lineup with an amazing group of live musicians,” said Bernstein. “This has always been our mission since day one. Jason Isbell has been on our short list for quite a while as he continues to build his incredibly loyal fan base through both his awesome songwriting, and eclectic live shows. Boz Scaggs has of course been on the same list as well with his mix of both classic songs and a diverse set of his unique blend of rock and jazz.”

The free music festival will also include Galactic, Dave Mason & Steve Cropper’s Rock & Soul Revue, Delta Rae, and two other artists to be announced at a later date. The Abe Stage will continue to showcase a diverse line-up of contemporary music to include Arrested Development, Jon Wayne and the Pain, City of the Weak, Ghostcat, Thick Mistress, Young Rambo, ALX / SCND SNDWCH, and one more artist to be announced.

This year’s Saturday in the Park Festival will be held at Grandview Park in Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday, July 7, from noon to 10:30 pm.

This free music festival draws tens of thousands of people each year, and is presented for the fourth consecutive year by the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sioux City. In conjunction with the Saturday in the Park Festival, The Mardi Gras Festivale and Big Parade will both take place on Friday, July 6, making Sioux City one of the upper Midwest’s top tourist destinations for this July weekend.

The Saturday in the Park Festival was founded in 1991 by Dave Bernstein and Adam Feiges. In addition to a line-up of world class artists, the 28th festival also will feature the return of Arts Alley, the KCAU Kids Zone, and some of the best festival food anywhere, and two beer gardens. The festival wraps up with a fireworks finale at the end of the evening.
