The next installment of the Saturday in the Park Festival series will be held this coming Saturday, July 7, 2012 in lovely Grandview Park in Sioux City, IA. Additional details are still many months away, but expect the festival to still be fun, full of amazing music, and best of all….free!

Los Lonely Boys Iowa Public Television Special

Iowa Public Television will broadcast a half hour show featuring Los Lonely Boys set at the 2011 festival on the statewide Iowa Public Television network at 11:00pm Friday, October 21st. This show was previously unplanned and we thank IPTV for producing this awesome performance, and also for presenting it in HD and Surround on Public Television!

The 60-minute high-definition television special will showcase featured artists’ live performances and other elements from the 21st annual festival held in Sioux City July 2nd.

Saturday in the Park is looking very nice, with sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. It looks like the rain will hold off during the evening, too, but after midnight we have a chance of showers and thunderstorms. But no worries these are not expected to be severe.

Bullet Proof Hearts added to 2nd Stage at 2:45pm

There has been a late change to the 2nd stage line-up:

“The Reminders” will no longer be performing. Instead, we are thrilled that the “Bullet Proof Hearts” are able to step into the 2:45pm slot.

American Red Cross Relief

SITP and the American Red Cross will be teaming up this year to help with local flood relief at SITP. We are asking everyone to text the word “REDCROSS” to 90999, which will give the Red Cross a $10 donation. Consider this a voluntary “admission fee” for Saturday if you would like, and know you are helping offset the significant local costs the local Red Cross has incurred. Thanks for considering and passing this along…
